Yes I read the post, of course, but unfortunately I totally missed your point about making it a multi-protocol client.
Sorry about that, hammady.

Regarding GTalk, you didn't say it wasn't based on XMPP but you said "So you can not use it to connect to your favorite IM servers like (...) GTalk" and that's what I was referring to.

Anyway, there was really no offense intended and I apologize if my comment looked aggressive.

I guess you didn't read the post till the end! I know MCabber is not a multi-protocol client. However, in this post I showed how to use it to connect to several networks using an XMPP backend (openfire) as a gateway, which effectively makes it multi-protocol client, and this is the trick!

Everybody knows GTalk is based on XMPP, did I mention anything other than this?!
Please read the post till the end before claiming any corrections.
